Raw Rewind - December 4th 2006

The WWE Championship had never been contested in such a manner, but as usual, Cena overcame the odds. The resilient champ prevailed, forcing the cocky Masters to tap out to a Masterlock of his own.
What followed was one of the biggest, most out-of-control brawls in recent Raw history. Umaga stormed the ring and engaged Cena in a brawl all over the ringside area, trampling the Raw announce team and dozens of security guards in the process.
As a result, an irritated Coachman ruled that Umaga and Cena were not to touch each other until January 1st, unless it was in a match, and made a special contest for next week’s Raw: Cena vs. Armando Alejandro Estrada.
Sexy Cena - November 30th 2006
“So that’s basically what that means to me – the fact that we’re doing a lot better with mainstream appeal. That’s pretty cool,” he continued. “WWE as a company wouldn’t be involved with a publication like that if it wasn’t kicking ass. It’s good to see that the hard work’s paying off.”
But back to bringing sexy back… Sorry, ladies, Cena won’t reveal what he thinks is his sexiest feature.
“The ladies will have to find that out on individual or small group basis,” he chuckled.
However, the Champ admitted why he thinks women find him sexy. He claimed it’s all about keeping it real.
“It’s because I’m genuine. I’ve never pretended to be something I’m not. I always say what I mean. If that means it’s me showing emotion out there or admitting to being under pressure, duress or stress, well then f*** it,” he admitted.
“I kind of tell life how it is. I think that’s an admirable trait. I’m glad that the females are watching, trust me. But I think everybody kind of appreciates that.”
Cena to "Eat Fresh" with Jared Fogle - November 29th 2006
Cena and Fogle shot the 30-second commercial in just a few hours. The instant camaraderie between them let the filming flow with ease. Unlike Cena’s first commercial, which was for regional markets, this one airs nationwide in two weeks. It highlights the low-fat, six-inch Subway Club sandwich. While Fogle touts the sub’s low-fat goodness, Cena says the sandwich’s double meat fills him up without slowing him down. The two begin a playful argument when Fogle asks to see the WWE Championship and Cena declines. The spot highlights their two different personalities, which makes for a comical combination.
“I think it’s very much two opposite people playing off each other. So even if you don’t know WWE or you don’t know who I am next to Jared, it’s such an opposite personality that it becomes entertaining,” The Champ said. “So hopefully we do what we need to do, and that’s attracting new WWE fans.”
Kim Hennig, Subway’s Director of Brand Management, told WWE.com that Cena did such a great job filming his first Subway commercial, he immediately came to mind when the sandwich chain wanted to do another spot with an athlete.
“He was just such a joy to work with. He just has a charisma about him, and it really comes through on the camera,” Hennig said.
Fogle agreed that Cena is a great representative of the Subway brand.
“He stands for keeping his body healthy, keeping himself fit and active and that’s really what the message of Subway is all about – a healthy lifestyle. Obviously, John lives that to a T. I think he’s a great ambassador for Subway,” Folge said.
The Subway spokesman, who lost 245 pounds by exercising and eating healthy Subway sandwiches, proclaimed he was a huge WWE fan growing up, so meeting Cena was a thrill.
“My favorites were Hulk Hogan, Andre the Giant, ‘Macho Man’ Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth. Then I sort of picked it up again with Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, and now with John,” Fogle admitted.
“I cannot wait for the John Cena/K-Fed match. You have no idea. January 1 – that will be on my calendar. I don’t care where I am, I’m going to be watching that match and cannot wait for it!” Fogle exclaimed.
Little does Fogle know, The Champ has another idea: Cena vs. Fogle in a Subway-on-a-Pole Match at WrestleMania 23 in Detroit.
“I figured K-Fed had the guts to challenge me to a match on Jan. 1, so I think Jared’s just biding his time,” Cena joked. “He’s probably going to opt for a WrestleMania match. We’ll have like a 12-inch Subway sandwich on a pole.”
“So we’ll see how it pans out,” Cena laughed.” I’m never one to back down from a challenge.
Survivor Series - November 26th 2006
Rob Van Dam, Sabu, Lashley and Kane joined Cena against the Extreme Giant, Umaga, Finlay, Montel Vontavious Porter and Test. Combining athletes from all three brands, many rivals found themselves facing their antagonists head to head. Grabbing a monitor, Umaga -- the undefeated Samoan Bulldozer -- was disqualified early in the match after dominating any who dared to face him. After an appearance by Little Bastard, Finlay was eliminated thanks to a spear by Lashley.
Cena secured the pin proving he is worthy of the title WWE Champion. Lashley began to build his own momentum as he barrels towards the Extreme Elimination Chamber at the December to Dismember pay-per-view live from Augusta, Ga., next Sunday.
Raw - November 20th 2006
Before he can get it out, Team DX (DX, The Hardy Boyz, and CM Punk) come out. HBK wants to start "The Royal Rumble" right now. Someone in the crowd yells it isn't January and HBK corrects himself. HHH calls the Spirit Squad 'easy'. Trips says Big Show won't be coming out because there is an open case of Twinkies in the back. So Triple HHH says there are only two teams ready for action: Team Rated RKO with their Village People and he has the next ECW Champion, the Hardy Boyz, and DX. HHH starts to say the two words, but Edge interrupts and tells him everyone is sick and tired of his two words. Shoot! Big Show's music hits and Team Show (Finlay, Show, MVP, Umaga, & Test). Show calls his team the most dominant in the Survivor Series. Cena wants everyone to come in the ring and see who is left standing. Everyone begins to close in on the ring, but Mr. McMahon comes to the stage. McMahon says no Survivor Series tonight. There will be individual matches with all the Survivor Series teams. And the unprecedented main event will be an All Captains 8 Man Tag Match: Cena, Ric Flair, & DX vs. Edge, Orton, Kenny, & Big Show.
A brawl with all the wrestlers erupts when the Cena and Flair come to the ring. DX comes down to even the sides and help clean house. Kenny is thrown over the top and Orton gets a spinebuster from HHH. Edge is left standing between all four faces. Edge gets punched and a scoop slam from HHH. Michaels gives Edge an elbow off the top. Edge is pulled from the ring before he gets Sweet Chin Music. Show comes in with headbutts. DX tries to double team him, but he catches them off the ropes. Flair low blows him and Cena knocks Show out of the ring with a flying shoulderblock.
Back from the break, the heels are working over Michaels. Edge knocks him down with a punch and then stomps him. Kenny tags in and hits HBK with some punches. A scoop slam by Kenny gets a two count. HBK fights back, but is kicked when he goes to bounce off the ropes. Orton tags in and stomps Michaels some more. Big Show tags in and withstands a few punches from Michaels to knock HBK down with a big boot. He drops down on him with a leg drop. Kenny tags back in and comes off the top with a punch. A leaping back elbow by Kenny gets two. Edge comes back in and works on the back. Michaels powers out of the hold and chops Edge. Edge knocks HBK back down and tags in Orton who sets up for the RKO. HBK blocks it and throws Orton down. Cena and Kenny make the hot tags. Cena hits him with a shoulder block and the Blue Thunder Driver. Cena then gives him the 5 Knuckle Shuffle. He picks Kenny up for the FU, but Show comes in and kicks Cena down. Cena dodges a chokeslam and HHH gives him a face buster. Sweet Chin Music knocks him from the ring. Cena gives Kenny the FU to end the match.
Your winners: John Cena, Ric Flair, and DX!
After the match, all the Survivor Series competitors flood the ring and start to brawl.
