John Cena opened the evening by accepting Umaga’s challenge for a fight, but was interrupted by Melina, who reminded Cena of his impending battle with her friend, Kevin Federline, on the New Year’s Day edition of Raw. Cena looked to send his own reminder back to K-Fed, hoisting Melina on his shoulders for the FU, and appeared poised to deliver until the Masterpiece stormed the ring to break things up.
Shortly thereafter, Executive Assistant Jonathan Coachman came out to address the WWE Champ. Coachman told Cena he was out for revenge, and therefore, not only would Cena be facing Umaga at New Year’s Revolution, but he would also be taking on Masters in the Masterlock Challenge, for the WWE Championship. Sexy Cena - November 30th 2006

John Cena was named Sexiest Man of the Week by People magazine in October. Now, he’s featured on People.com’s 2006 Sexiest Man Alive Web site, among some of today’s hottest leading men. The WWE Champion said he’s honored to be recognized by People.
“I don’t know what makes me sexy, but I’m really attempting to try to bring sexy back. I think the people at People help me bring sexy back,” Cena quipped.
In a People.com video, Cena candidly speaks about flirting, his fashion style and his most memorable date. (Take a guess where it was… That’s right, a gym!)
The Champ explained that being acknowledged by People is a huge plus for WWE.
“Obviously for a member of WWE to make a publication like that and be grouped amongst those names, we’re obviously getting more people to pay attention to us,” Cena said. Continue

Subway restaurants was so thrilled with John Cena’s first commercial shoot for the sandwich chain, they invited him back just one month later to do another TV spot. This time, Cena stars with Subway’s famous, slimmed-down spokesman, Jared Fogle.
Before the commercial shoot in Long Island City, N.Y., Cena admitted he was psyched to work with Subway again and especially excited to meet Fogle.
“He turned his life around in the healthy aspect, but in the process became a household name and a celebrity. So that’s always cool – I get to meet somebody famous,” Cena told WWE.com.
Prior to filming, Cena and Fogle posed for photos with the WWE Championship. The normally mild-mannered Fogle showed his tougher side, scowling while holding the Championship on his shoulder. But as soon as the cameras stopped clicking, the two were all smiles and Jared exclaimed, “That’s awesome!” about holding the WWE gold.
“It was really neat to hold the WWE Championship,” Jared confessed. “Growing up as a kid I was a huge WWE fan. Seeing those guys carry those Championships, to actually get to personally hold it and put it on my shoulder was quite an honor and something that I’ll remember for a long time to come.” Continue

WWE Champion John Cena found out his next challenger: the undefeated Samoan Bulldozer, Umaga. In the ring, Armando Alejandro Estrada said that Umaga was the only dominant man at Survivor Series, and that no one to date has presented him a challenge. He then put John Cena on notice, officially challenging him on behalf of Umaga. The Champ then hit the ring, and an uncharacteristically quiet Cena stared down the Samoan Bulldozer before uttering one simple phrase:
“As for your challenge…I accept.”
Cena looked ready to do it right then and there, but after another brief stare down, Estrada pulled the Samoan Bulldozer from the ring, telling Cena that it would happen “when we say so.”

RAW begins with WWE Champion John Cena coming out to the ring with Team Cena. Captain Cena has picked Bobby Lashley, Rob Van Dam, Kane, & Sabu. Baltimore isn't 100% pro Cena despite all the faces in the ring. Cena calls Big Show 'poopy pants' for wanting to start Survivor Series early. Team Cena would also like to start early. He invites Team Show to the ring, but Rated RKO comes out through the crowd. Edge says the trash talk should be done by someone who wasn't beaten down, like Edge & Orton, who hospitalized a Hall of Famer and won the Tag Titles. Orton says after Nitro wins his ladder match, there will be four champions on Team Rated RKO in addition to that 'up and coming star Mike Knox'. Orton continues, but Ric Flair comes out through the fans on the opposite side. Flair calls them pathetic. Just then, the Spirit Squad's music hits and THEY come out through the fans. Kenny says pathetic is Flair thinking his history artifacts are going to beat the Spirit Squad. Johnny starts to say something, but Kenny interrupts and says he has a cheer.
